Tropical Fruit Shake

                                          (A frothy substitute for the morning orange juice)

 

Ingredients:

1 large frozen ripe banana, cut into small pieces

1 medium ripe mango (about 1 pound), peeled, pitted and chopped

1 can (8 oz.) unsweetened crushed pineapple in juice

1/2 cup orange juice

1/4 cup skim milk

2 tsp granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 ice cubes

 

Directions:

In a blender or food processor fitted with the metal blade, combine banana, mango, pineapple with juice, orange juice, milk, sugar, and vanilla. Process until smooth, about 1 minute.

 

Add ice cubes, 1 at a time, to blender, pulsing after each addition, until mixture is smooth and foamy, about 1 minutes. Pour fruit mixture into 4 chilled glasses. Serve immediately.
